Munich Arrival InformationBy Air The International Airport of Munich is located 28km northeast of the city centre. This airport has many facilities like banks, tourist information, medical emergency centre, pharmacy, post office and other shops. Lufthansa is the national airline, and its subsidiary Condor operates cheap flights between Munich and International destinations. Other airlines which offer cheap flights between Munich and UK are British Airways and Deutsche BA. You can rent a car or take the train to go to the city. It is about 30 minutes drive from the airport to the centre.
By Rail The National provider is Deutsche Bahn, there are national services like the InterCityExpress (ICE) trains, InterCity (IC) and EuroCity (EC) trains and InterRegio trains. The central station of Munich is located in the centre of the city, as in many cities there are facilities for visitors, from shops to banks and pharmacies.
By Road The country is full of major ‘B’ roads and Autobahnen (motorways) or ‘A' roads. Usually there are no speed limits, but a maximum of 130kph is recommended. Approximate driving times to Munich:
