Internet is very used in Germany, and in recent years email accounts have been increased reaching the United States in this amount. In the country there are many internet options, so try to look for the service that is compatible with your needs. If you want high speed in your internet access, the best is a DSL connection.

In Germany there is huge competition in this field, but the main provider is Deutsche Telekom. With DSL connection you can make phone calls with total freedom because most of DSL packages come bundled with an ISDN phone connection.
But if you don’t use the internet frequently, there are other options. You can go to Internet cafes that are around the whole country or you can have internet access with your analogue phone line, obviously the speed is slower, you don’t need to register with an access provider and you only pay for the minutes online.
