The Health care system in Germany is universal, and largely financed by government though a system of national health insurance and schools.
They have a two part health insurance system. Most people (90%) in Germany are covered by social security, about 10 % have a private health insurance. Although it should not happen there are a few people without any coverage of their health care costs.
Germany has a general health insurance dependent on the particular income. (You pay a certain percentage of your income, at the moment it is around about 7%, the employer pays another 7% ). Children and husbands or wives (without own income) of the insurance holder are assured without any additional costs.
