Shopping in Hamburg
Hamburg is a heaven for shopping; there are many stores and exclusive boutiques in Mönckebergerstrasse, Hamburg’s main retail street. The high-price-tag zones are the streets Grosse Bleichen and Neuer Wall; other shopping areas are the City Centre and the Mile of Shops or Jpitalerstrasse. Hamburg is also famous to have some of the best sales in Europe; many imported clothes are available for cheap prices.
Other especial place for shopping is the HSH Nordbank Shopping Passage; there you will find offers in jewelry, coins, fashion and fancy clothes. A picturesque and old market is the Hamburg Fischmarkt, this is held every Sunday. There are for sale flowers, fruit, vegetables, plants and pets. Stores are open Monday to Friday 9am to 6:30pm and on Saturday 9am to 2pm.
