The Wallraf Richartz Museum



The Wallraf-Richartz Museum is the oldest museum in Cologne; it has a wide classical picture gallery that dates from the middle ages. It is divided in departments, in the baroque department exists paintings of Rubens and Rembrandt; meanwhile in the 19th century department there are many masterworks of the impressionism, realism and romance.
Other important paintings are the Madonna in the Rose Bower by Stephan Lochner, the altarpiece for the Great Saint Martin Church by Jacob van Utrecht, and the "Kind zwischen Stockrosen" by Berthe Morisol.
