Staatliche Museen Berlin

Germany: Explore Berlin The 16 National Museums in Berlin (Staatliche Museen zu Berlin) are part of the Prussian culture heritage. The state museums were damaged in the Second World War and many museums lost important collections, but they were repaired and again are establishing their world class reputation.
The principal State museums: The Altes museum, Neus Museum, Bode Museum and the Pergamon Museum are reunited and connected by underground walkways in the Museum Island. In 1999 the Museum Island was added to the World Cultural Heritage list.
